Double British Supersport Cup win for Adon on home soil at Knockhill
It was the perfect ‘home’ race for Adon Davie in the latest round of 2024 British Supersport Championship at Knockhill in Scotland who raced to a double win this past weekend in the Supersport Cup whilst bagging his first British Championship points in the process.
Fast from the off, Davie looked superb aboard his JDF Racing Ducati, qualifying on Pole in the ‘cup’ and an impressive ninth overall – meaning a third row of the grid start for the opening encounter.
Race one saw the #38 make a good start, fighting hard throughout the opening eighteen lap encounter, eventually crossing the line eleventh overall, taking the win in the Supersport Cup by almost two seconds!
Race two was held in wet conditions, Adon once again showing his skills in the rain were as equally impressive. Finding his rhythm he settled into the race, taking the flag in a more than credible thirteenth overall, making it a SSP Cup double.

“Qualifying went well. It was the first dry session of the weekend. We had to replace an engine before the weekend, so Friday was quite tough. I was quite happy to see it would be dry on Saturday. I made it through Q1 and ended up ninth overall and P1 in the Cup, achieving my fastest ever lap at Knockhill in the dry so I was really pleased with that and was looking forward to the race. Race one it had rained most of the day but then the sun came out. I watched the Superbike race, and I could see that it was drying and so I opted for a full dry set up. I was in two minds as to whether to try to stick with the guys ahead of just focus on the cup. I was a bit tentative in the beginning and the front boys got away but I was able to win the cup and finish eleventh overall which is my result in BSB. It was wet on Sunday, so I just kept my head down and made sure we didn’t throw away any points. I was able to take the win again and I am happy with the progress we are making. Next round for me is Brands Hatch, so see you all there!”
