Perfect Start To The Supersport Season For Adon Davie

Adon Davie kickstarted his 2024 British Supersport Championship perfectly at Oulton Park over the Bank Holiday weekend – racing to a double win in the Supersport Cup and bagging a maximum fifty points in the process.

For Davie, the weekend started strongly despite the #38 not riding in the first official free practice on Saturday due to the wet conditions. However, once on track he was soon up to speed and after easily qualifying was confident ahead of the two races.

A win by a margin of one second in race one on Sunday was followed by an equally convincing win on Monday after another strong showing from lights out to the flag.

With more than fifty entrants in the British Supersport series this year the competition is tough but with two wins on the board Adon heads to the next round at Donington Park as the man to beat in the Supersport Cup category.

Adon Davie:

“I sat out FP1 as the conditions were a bit sketchy and with the weather not forecast to rain, we didn’t see any point in riding and risking a crash. FP2, we had a small problem which meant we missed the first few laps and then I suffered arm pump for the first time in over a year. It wasn’t ideal but some of the changes we had made were positive and I was looking forward to qualifying and the races, especially as the leading cup riders weren’t too far away. I qualified fourth in the cup after lapping faster than I ever have at Oulton, so I was really happy with that. I made a good start in race one and made up a few places. I was able to control things at the front and it was a bit of a lonely race to be honest. We made a couple of changes between race one and race two and we were able to take another win in the cup. I went faster again and to get two wins in my first races of the year is a perfect way to start the season. I want to thank all those who are supporting me. See you at the next one!”
